Purple Willows reached a milestone
Monday 8th of January 2018 was not only the first day of term, but also the very special day of our new nursery in Sidcup grand opening. We are delighted that our open day has reached a milestone with many applications received from the local residence of Bexley
We celebrated our grand opening with the Mayor of Bexley and his Mayoress cutting the ribbon and officially unveiling the nursery. The Mayor and his Mayoress had a tour at the nursery and they were very impressed with the nursery facilities and the kind of services the nursery will be offering to the local community. The Mayor Said” I have no doubt Purple Willows Day Nursery will be a success taking into account Roland's achievements in his other business activities in Bexley".
Roland Tandoh CEO of Purple Willows said” “We are delighted that the Hon. Peter Reader and his Mayoress was able to join us, to mark a new chapter in our nursery. We were gratified with the Mayor’s motivational speech and I believe it will go a long way to inspire our entire nursery team to serve all our children with humility and dedication. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved in our decision to create a dedicated nursery for the people of Bexley. Our objective is quality not quantity and we aim to provide a curriculum that is designed to underpin and achieve our mission. We extend our warm welcome to all the children joining our unique and nurturing environment and look forward to supporting their new start of their educational journey with Purple Willows Day Nursery”.
Purple Willows is a beautiful and modern children’s nursery located on a quiet and residential road - Old Farm Road East Sidcup. The nursery offer wide expanses of space, forest school and has superb free flow facility which provides the opportunity for children with the freedom to experience learning both inside and outside. The nursery also provides an online learning journal system in conjunction with ParentZone. Opening from 7am – 6:30pm, Purple Willows offer outstanding education and childcare provision to children aged 9months to 5years though out the year.
The nursery accommodate 32 children with required staff-to-child ratio for under two year old 1:3 and under three year old 1:4. The nursery is registered with the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) and Bexley Council’s Children Services, which carry out regular inspections to ensure compliance with standards and requirements.
It is envisaged that Purple Willows will help create a greater choice and flexibility for parents and carers looking for professional childcare and early education for their loved ones. Among the services Purple Willows offer is to take children to a well-known local nursing home in Sidcup weekly to interact and do activities with the elderly particularly people with dementia. A structure to ensure a mutual benefit to both generations has been put in place. We believe that Residents teach valuable life lessons and the children visiting the elderly regularly will make them learn to respect their elders. Our ethos is Community Pride and Respect and we want all our children to take pride in themselves, their families, their background and their heritage.
In addition to the services provided is Out of School care during school holidays for children under 6 years.
Purple Willows is also registered with Bexley Local Authority to accept 15 hours and 30 hours government funding. For further enquirers about funding or enrollment, please contact Kellie on 0203 915 2380
