Infants
We believe that each child is a special gift and should be treasured. We encourage parents to spend as much time developing their relationship with their babies - through talking, listening, and playing.
In line with our values, these are embedded in our setting. We sit in a social group, talking and playing with young children. We provide various resources that support the children's developing understanding of the material and how they behave.
Children are also encouraged to be active, and we use heuristic play to encourage them to manipulate objects and explore materials. We engage the children's interest in books and stories through story reading and give them multi-sensory experiences.
Key principles
Purple Willows recognizes the importance of providing a nurturing and enriching environment for infants aged 3months to 18 months.
Explore Toddlers and PreSchoolers Journey
The infant program at Purple Willows provides a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where infants can thrive and develop essential skills for lifelong learning and well-being.
Everything that happens to the toddler is meaningful. We ensure toddlers learn to be independent, do things for themselves, and have their own ideas about how things should happen. We have a good selection of equipment used to help develop children's interest in the world and learn more about the world around them.
Our preschool activities consist of language and thinking exercises that meet the minimum standards of the EYFS national curriculum. The activities are based on first-hand experiences encouraging exploration, observation, experimentation, discussion, problem-solving, and decision-making.
